Following the consultation undertaken by Transport Scotland, to which NJUG responded, revisions were made to the Scottish Code of Practice for the Co-ordination of Works in Roads. The final version has now been published on the Commissioner’s website.
The Code of Practice will also be published by Transport Scotland, along with the Consultation Report, on their website.
Given the delay in publication, and the coming into force date of 1 April 2013, it has been agreed that there will be a bedding in period of 2 months from this date. In effect this will mean that monitoring compliance with the April 2013 version of the Code of Practice will commence from 1 June 2013.
A short report will also be produced and made available on the Commissioner’s website in the coming weeks which will identify the main changes in the April 2013 version.
