Our Chief Executive, Clive Bairsto CBE has responded to comments made yesterday in the House of Commons by Minister for Digital and Broadband Delivery Matt Warman MP:

“It is very pleasing to see that street works was an item on the agenda at yesterday’s broadband summit in Downing Street. There is a growing recognition of the vital role that street works will play in the delivery of the government’s ambitious infrastructure priorities, not only in accelerating full fibre broadband but also in areas such as the decarbonisation of our economy to achieve net-zero by 2050.

I welcome Mr Warman’s comments and look forward to working with the government to ensure we can create an environment that removes barriers and enables our members to continue to deliver the vital infrastructure this nation needs.”
