On Thursday 10th October, Street Works UK held its annual awards ceremony in the Houses of Parliament, bringing together representatives from across the street works sector, to celebrate the industry’s talent and achievements.

The evening, sponsored by Virgin Media O2, proved an overarching success, gathering leaders in water, gas, electricity, and telecoms from across the UK for networking, speeches and celebrations.

Acknowledging the continued hard work of the organisation’s dedicated members, the awards reflected the sector’s successes whilst highlighting the ongoing challenges the industry faces.

Commenting on the successful evening, Street Works UK Chairman, Clive Bairsto CBE, said: “It is always an honour to celebrate the street works sector’s best and brightest. Our work connects communities nationwide with essential services such as water, broadband, energy and heating – enabling the UK economy to function and thrive. These awards present an opportunity to recognise the impressive, high quality and innovative work that our members undertake to improve the services we deliver, all while minimising the impact on road users and pedestrians. Congratulations to all the winners!”
